Alessio Tori: “Woman In Chains” Bass Playalong

It has been quite a while since we’ve seen a video by Alessio Tori (AKA ato71), who has impressed us over the years with his bass cover videos.

He’s back, and he’s taking on the great Tears for Fears tune, “Woman In Chains”.

While Alessio credits Pino Palladino for the work (and there are some great Pino-like lines on it), the album’s liner notes credit Curt Smith as the bassist, with Pino on other tracks. (There’s some debate about this in the video comments).

Regardless, I’ve always loved the bass on this one.

All very good and very nice but why nobody’s playing the intro which if I’m not mistaken Pino played it on the LP, it’s beyond

Hi everyone, this is Alessio. This is really a Pino bass line; I had it confirmed by Pino himself via his brother Mark.
