Reader Spotlight: Alex Jennings

Alex Jennings

Meet Alex Jennings, a bassist from Devon, UK who has been laying down the low end for two decades. Alex is this week’s No Treble reader in the spotlight (you could be next). Here’s his story…

Bio:

I’ve been playing bass for 20 years, starting by mimicking 80s and 90s metal bass and guitar parts on my black Ibanez as a teenager. I studied Jazz at University, and initially trained to teach after studying. I taught music at schools for a couple of years, but, was gigging alongside, so, decided to stop and focus on playing. I now balance gigging (for a number of function and original bands), instrumental teaching, and studio work, and love it! I’m also working on a new teaching/learning resource called The Band Sound for bassists/guitarists/drummers that will be launching soon.
