Bass of the Week: May Custom Basses DCM4
This week we’re checking a bass that luthier Shawn May calls a “super secret fun project.” This version of his DCM4 features a medium 32-inch scale and an amazing flame maple and ebony theme.
The dark ebony takes up the right side of the bass with the lighter maple on the left, and every detail that crosses over mirrors the opposite color. That includes the pickup covers, the fingerboard inlays, the headstock logo, and even the solo bass bridges.
Other features include a swamp ash body, fiber optic side markers, Aguilar AG4M/J4HC pickups, and an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp.
