Korn Announces Touring Bassist
Last month, Fieldy announced he would be sitting out of Korn’s upcoming tour to focus on taking care of himself. Now the band has revealed the identity of the bassist that will fill his shoes for the gigs.
“We appreciate your kind words of support in response to the recent tour update about Fieldy,” the band shared on Facebook. “While our brother takes some time to heal, we wanted to let you know that we are bringing our friend Ra Diaz from Suicidal Tendencies out with us this summer to fill in on Korn bass duties. We’ve all been rehearsing to get ready to bring the heat, and we can’t wait to see you next month.”
Diaz has been laying down the low end for Suicidal Tendencies since 2016 when he and drummer Dave Lombardo solidified the band’s rhythm section. The bassist will join the band for their live shows this year starting with the Upheaval Festival on July 16. They’ll then be joined by Staind for an extensive world tour.
