Orange Teams with Glenn Hughes for Limited Edition Crush Bass 50 Combo Amp
Purple is the new Orange, or should we say the new Orange is Purple. The British amp giant has unveiled a new signature combo amp for Dead Daisies member and former Deep Purple bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes. Based on the company’s existing Crush Bass 50, the limited edition 50-watt amp comes in a purple basketweave vinyl finish.
“You can go in the studio, take that bass combo and make your album with something like that, it’s truly outstanding,” Hughes says. “It’s gritty, it’s punchy: sustain is so important and it’s certainly got all that. Orange all the way……..it’s the future, it’s the way to go, you heard it from me!”
Similar to the original Crush Bass 50, the new signature model includes a parametric EQ circuit inspired by the 4 Stroke bass amp. Other features include an onboard tuner, a headphone output with CabSim filtering, and bi-amp-inspired blend and gain controls.
