The Band Geeks: Siberian Khatru

We’ve previously featured videos by Richie Castellano’s Bank Geek project, including these two covers of Yes’s “Roundabout” and “Close To The Edge“.

In this one, they take on “Siberian Khatru”.

“Yes… we know we changed the arrangement. The ultimate goal of this session was to create a backing track for my live stream shows, so we tailored the arrangement for that specific use. We also recorded the majority of this on a live stream and cutting out certain parts made that run smoother,” Richie shared.

Richie handles the vocals, guitar, bass, and keys, along with Ann Marie Nacchio on vocals, Andy Ascolese on keyboards, drums, and percussion, and special guest Andy Graziano for the guitar solo.

wow, excellent, and that bass tone is on point!

Really enjoyed this track and the hard work that went into it. It did an amazing job of recreating the sound of yes in the 70s. Couldn’t have picked a harder song to reproduce.

Love these guys especially on the Yes covers. Such talent. Yes used to always open with this song.

I used to think that nobody was good enough to capture the YES sound.
    Boy was I wrong!
This was beautiful! The timing was perfect. And the musical mastery right down to the vocals was truely AMAZING!
    Band Geek…best geeks ever!
