Gene Simmons Tests Positive for COVID-19, KISS Shows Postponed

Gene Simmons

KISS has announced four dates on their “End Of The Road” world tour have been postponed after Gene Simmons has tested positive for COVID. The news comes after guitarist Paul Stanley tested positive last week. Simmons, who is fully vaccinated, is experiencing mild symptoms.

“The band and crew will remain at home and isolate for the next 10 days and doctors have indicated the tour should be able to resume on September 9th at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA,” the KISS website states. “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates once announced. More information will be emailed to ticketholders directly.”

Simmons has not commented on his health status, but he has been a vocal proponent of vaccinations. He retweeted the band’s message on the postponement as well as a CDC headline on finding mRNA COVID-19 vaccines being found to reduce virus-related hospitalizations among older adults.

We’re wishing a speedy recovery to Gene Simmons!

Well, at least he is fully vaccinated so he should have an easier time than if he wasn’t.
