David Ellefson Teases New Project

The Lucid

It’s been over three months since David Ellefson was fired from Megadeth. Aside from making a statement about the situation, he has been totally silent on social media – until now.

The bassist is teasing what seems to be a new project. Ellefson’s Facebook profile and cover photos have been changed to an “L” logo with “The Lucid” written underneath. The pictures also have the date of September 8th.

It’s unclear if The Lucid is a band or other type of project, or who else is involved. We’ll find out more on the 8th and keep you posted.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.

It really sucks your nit in Megadeth any more, I’ve always knew you were the best bassists for the Dave Mustaine band! I’m a bassist too like you but I’m not where as great as you but I try for fun & relaxation David! I hope James Lomenzo does good
