Mark Hoppus is Cancer Free

After revealing he’d been battling cancer back in June, Mark Hoppus has some great news. The Blink-182 bassist took to Instagram to say he’s cancer-free.

“Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!!” He wrote. “Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love. Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed.”

Hoppus was battling Stage 4 lymphoma and spent five months taking chemotherapy treatment. He was too weak to play bass for most of that time but has more recently taken it back up. Check out this Twitch stream of him talking to fans and shooting out new prototype signature basses:
