In his music career over the past six decades, John Mayall has had the pick of amazing bassists – John McVie, Jack Bruce, and Larry Taylor, just to name a few. For the past two decades, he’s been joined by Greg Rzab, who also anchors the blues legend’s latest album, The Sun is Shining Down.
The 10-song affair is packed with guests like Marcus King, Melvin Taylor, Buddy Miller, Mike Campbell, Jake Shimabukuro, and more. Each tune seems like a personal note from Mayall, who has over forty records under his belt.
