Discover Double Bass has released a brand new course that adds a new dimension to its offerings. “Slap That Bass!” is taught by Nashville hot shot Slick Joe Fick and covers everything you need to get started slapping on the upright.
Fick begins with an 11-minute discussion on strings, setup, and right-hand technique before diving into the essentials slap bass patterns. The course, which features over three hours of video lessons, is broken into five chapters: The Essential Slap Bass Patterns, Extensions and Embellishments, Slap Combinations, Rhythm Keeping, and Hot Solos.
