Simon Phillips & Protocol V: The Long Road Home

I’ve always been a fan of Simon Phillips and his Protocol bands. Here’s the fifth lineup, with the great Ernest Tibbs on bass, performing “The Long Road Home”.

“‘The Long Road Home’ is an 11-minute suite consisting of several thematically related movements, which feature both electric and acoustic instruments. It’s the closing track on ‘Protocol V’,” Simon shared.

In addition to Phillips and Tibbs, the band includes Otmaro Ruiz on keyboards, Jacob Scesney on alto saxophone, and Alex Sill on guitar.
