Omer Al-Katib: Africa

No Treble reader Omer Al-Katib (aka Omer Plays Bass) sent us this video, which is in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the release of Toto IV (April 8, 1982). Omer said that the album is “special and important for me as a bass player”.

In this video, Omer plays along to “Africa” – Toto’s only #1 hit. His bass of choice for this is his Dingwall Combustion 5.

“I think I have the part pretty exact to [David Hungate’s] original with a comparison of the isolated track that is on the Internet,” he added.
