MarloweDK Releases Back Pocket Grooves App

MarloweDK

MarloweDK has created another practice app for musicians called Back Pocket Grooves. The jam/play-along iPhone app is for all musicians of every level to work on their skills with instrumental grooves. Each vamp has six mixable instrument tracks that can be transposed to all keys, muted, and more.

“As a musician/music teacher that plays and practices many styles of music and has a preference for more funky stuff, I have had a hard time finding good jam tracks in the funk/soul/fusion style that not only are good for practicing solos but also for rhythm section practice and of course giving students more authentic and inspirational backing tracks,” MarloweDK explains. “There are the occasional – hard to find – good backing tracks on Youtube, or you can buy expensive, complicated programs to program them yourself, but here you get ready, steady and funky jams in your back pocket. The 15 ( and more to come) mixable jam tracks are inspired by known and lesser-known grooves and will make your instrument practicing more fun and closer to the real thing. So go practice your bass, guitar, keyboard, drums, or any other instrument now!”

The grooves are in the style of Herbie Hancock, Prince, Maceo Parker, James Brown, Earth Wind and Fire, John Scofield, and more. Get a preview of the app:

The Back Pocket Grooves app is available now through the Apple App Store. You can download it to get three track for free or subscribe for $0.99 per month to get all the grooves.

No Android version? That’s a real shame, there’s WAY more Android devices out there than iOS.
