Peter Hook & The Light are rounding it back up to tour the U.S. and Canada to celebrate the Joy Division and vocalist Ian Curtis’ continuing influence. The “Joy Division: A Celebration” tour will see the bassist revisit his musical catalog by performing both Unknown Pleasures and Closer in full, along with a handful of New Order tracks and additional hits.

“Definitely one of the highlights/lowlights of my profession is the traveling,” Hook says. “It was amazing what a blessing it was not to have to do it over lockdown but amazing again how soon you missed seeing all these wonderful places the world has to offer. You lot in America are so lucky to have such a varied and wonderful country. I can’t wait to get back there, and my mouth is watering at the thought go my first ‘Coffee Shop’ breakfast. I am easily pleased. We have always been lucky to have been appreciated as much as we have in The States, ever since our first tour in September 1980. I am hoping for much the same this time. There is definitely a great appreciation for both Joy Division’s & New Order’s music.”

The tour is slated to kick off on August 11th with two nights at The Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, Ontario. From there, the band will work their way across the border to play up and down the States over a full month. They will eventually make it to the Pacific Northwest and finish up in Vancouver, British Columbia, on September 14th.

To prepare for the outing, Hook and company have released a new live video for “Ceremony” taken from Christ Church, Macclesfield, in 2015. Watch as Hooky shows you how it’s done:
