Bass of the Week: Kononykheen Breed Forty Three
This week we’re featuring the Breed Forty Three by Kononykheen Guitars, which builds limited batches of all their models before discontinuing them. The Breed Forty Three mixes design elements from several classic models, from its body shape to pickup configuration.
It’s built with a three-piece basswood body, hard maple neck, and Blackwood fingerboard with 22 frets. Kononykheen fits it with Alnico-V pickups – a split coil in the neck and a humbucker at the bridge – that are selected with a three-way switch.
