FSU Percussion Ensemble: First Circle

Pat Metheny Group’s “The First Circle” is an all-time favorite song of mine. So I was blown away by this performance of it by the Florida State University Percussion Ensemble.

They shared that bass guitar isn’t generally part of a concert percussion ensemble, but it is included in percussion ensemble arrangements of PMG work.

Unfortunately, the ensemble didn’t list the musicians in the video, so we’re unsure of the bassist’s name. If you know it, please let us know in the comments!
