Ernie Ball Reveals Ball Family Reserve Fall 2022 Collection
Ernie Ball has announced the Fall 2022 lineup of the limited edition Ball Family Reserve collection, which is set to include two basses, both of which are takes on the StingRay.
The StingRay 4 Slugger features an ash body in a natural satin finish matched to a select roasted flame maple neck and fingerboard. Its black hardware is complemented by black block inlays as well as the pickup covers, which house neodymium magnet humbuckers. It has a three-band, 18-volt active preamp as well as a five-way pickup selector. As an additional touch, EBMM gives the bass striped ebony wooden control knobs.
On the other hand, the five-string StingRay Special Crescendo carries many of the same aspects while taking a more high-brow appearance with a custom white sparkle gloss polyester finish and gold hardware. It also has an ash body, flamed maple neck, and flamed maple fingerboard with the same electronics and controls.
The Ernie Ball Music Man Ball Family Reserve StingRay Special 4 Slugger is limited to 105 pieces worldwide and carries a price tag of $3,199. The Crescendo will only build to 80 units, each going for $3,099.
