Bass of the Week: Sletch Guitars Boogie Bass
This week we’re checking out the Sletch Guitars Boogie Bass. This particular Boogie Bass is the company’s fifth build and is fully handcrafted.
Its body has a mahogany core with a rich walnut top and a one-piece walnut back that’s adorned with laser engraved artwork. The bolt-on neck is a single piece of quartersawn padauk reinforced with carbon fiber rods and fitted with a Macassar ebony fingerboard. Abalone oval inlays serve as position markers. Sletch continued the walnut theme by using wood for knobs, its control cover, and headstock.
This Boogie Bass has an Aguilar MM-style pickup with a two-band Bartolini preamp. Hardware includes a Schaller roller bridge and Schaller light tuners.
