Tedeschi Trucks Band just dropped a fantastic video from their August 2022 performance at Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA.
Here’s the band – with Brandon Boone on bass and Mike Mattison on lead vocals – performing a cover of Dr. John’s “I Walk on Guilded Splinters.”
I’ve owned the Dr John Gris-Gris album since 1969 and never imagined anyone covering any song off that album! Cracked me up and a really cool tribute to Dr John! Anyone who hasn’t heard that album must be wondering what they were singing about. That album was an acquired taste for me back then but floats into my head every once in a while these days.
