Pink Floyd Drops 18 Live Albums from 1972

Pink Floyd has released a whopping eighteen live albums from their archive. All of the performances come from 1972, which was a pivotal time for the band. The group, featuring Roger Waters on the bass, was on the road in support of the albums Meddle and Obscured By Clouds, but they were also performing and refining songs for what would become Dark Side of the Moon.

Concerts from around the world are included in the set, from the UK to the US to Germany to Japan. The sound quality varies from show to show, but it’s clear they were working the material out, giving each show a bit of extra excitement.

Additionally, the band released an EP called Alternative Tracks 1972, which features trance remixes of “Speak to Me/Breathe (In The Air)” and “Any Colour You Like” as well as rare versions of “Time/Breathe (In The Air),” and “Us And Them” and a studio demo of “On The Run.”
