League of Women Bassplayers Inaugural Conference Set for January 12-15

The League of Women BassplayersThe League of Women Bassplayers, aka LOW B, will be holding its inaugural conference from January 12th through the 15th. The four-day event will be held virtually on Zoom and include live panels, recitals, presentations, and more.

“This ‘first ever’ event will provide an opportunity for female bass players to showcase, share, and connect with others globally,” the LOW B website states. “Our conference theme is ‘Artist as Entrepreneur: our purpose, our challenges, our possibilities.’ We will plunge into the authentic experience of what it means to be an artist in today’s society and how to flourish and prosper in that truth.”

Electric bassists, double bassists, and luthiers from all over the world will be participating and sharing their insights. The Keynote Speakers include Jacqueline Pickett and Laura Payne, while the scheduled recitalists are Christine Hoock, Christine Lanusse, Pheobe Russell, and No Treble contributor Brittany Frompovich. Another No Treble contributor, Ariane Cap, will be a presenting artist alongside Hannah Mayne, Nina Bernat, Jordyn Davis, Yumi Fujimoto, Lynn Hannings, Antonella Mazza, and many more.
