Bass of the Week: Pensa Custom Guitars P-Series Bass
This week we’re checking out the Pensa Custom Guitars P-Series bass, which takes its cues from the classic Precision design while making it their own. The semi-hollow bass can be highly customized, but even the standard features are outstanding.
This P-Series features a black korina body with the bass side thin-lined. Its Macassar Ebony top has an elegant F-hole on the bass side, as well. Its hard maple neck matches the top with a Macassar Ebony fretboard inlaid with Mother of Pearl dot markers.
The bass has Nordstrand NJ5FS pickups, and like all Pensa basses, it comes with its signature preamp system. Other features include a Hipshot A Style bridge, Ivoroid body binding, and Q-parts knobs with ebony caps.

Have you actually looked at the picture you’ve posted? This pickup is nowhere near Nordstrand NJ5FS. Looks like Curtis Novak BSDS with MoP insert.
