Stuart Clayton Publishes “The John Entwistle Bass Book”
Stuart Clayton and Bassline Publishing have expanded their transcription book offering with a new deep dive on a bass icon. The John Entwistle Bass Book features full transcriptions from The Ox’s career with The Who including “My Generation,” “Happy Jack,” “Boris the Spider,” The Real Me,” and more.
Each of the 15 songs is written in standard notation and tablature with chord symbols and performance notes. Clayton describes the book as having a “biography, discography, bassography, and playing techniques analysis,” making it a must-have for Entwistle fans.
“In addition to the transcriptions, the book contains a detailed history of John’s career, an in-depth analysis of his playing techniques, extensive information on his basses and amplifiers, and a discography/videography/recommended reading list,” the publisher states.
