EBG Instruments Introduces EBG-5 Jigsaw Fretless Bass

EBG Instruments EBG-5 Jigsaw Fretless Bass

EBG Instruments has introduced a new bass called the EBG-5 Jigsaw Fretless. Following the company’s previous styles, it is built around an aluminum center block with four sculpted iroko body pieces and a flamed maple top.

“The carbon neck generates a strong attack and demands the tone response,” EBG states. “This fretless bass impresses with its puristic appearance with its beautiful oiled curly maple top. Paired with the satin matt lacquered carbon neck, it is a beautiful mixture of natural wood and a modern appearance.”

EBG fits the bass with a pair of passive Häussel Noiseless Jazz Pickups and a volume/volume/tone control configuration. Other features include Graphtech Ratio tuners, an EBG Fatsus bridge, and an EBG inlay at the octave.

The EBG Instruments EBG-5 Jigsaw Fretless is available for order with a price point around $4,575.

    Really cool but tremendously overpriced
In this price range I can get into Wal Bass territory. I’m sure these EBG instruments are fantastic to play but I have a feeling it would be challenging to resale at anything close to original price

Absolutely. People have lost their mind. I can get a vintage jazz bass for that
