Fodera Unveils 40th Anniversary Emperor Deluxe Bass

Fodera Guitars is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year with a limited run of basses. The 40th Anniversary Emperor Deluxe will come in four and five-string versions and will be available through their dealer network.
“40 years. It has been a long journey – a pursuit of a dream that started right here in Brooklyn, where we are, still to this day,” the company writes. “Though our team has grown, our founders Vinny & Joey are still here continuing the legacy they started back in 1983.”
40th anniversaries are usually celebrated with rubies. As such, Fodera picked Japanese Maple for the model’s top for its red hue. They also utilized bloodwood for the Butterfly logo on the headstock. Other features include a three-piece maple neck, an ash body, an ebony fingerboard, and Fodera/Duncan Dual Coil pickups matched to a Fodera/Pope custom 3-band preamp.
