Gerald Veasley’s 2023 Bass BootCamp Open for Registration

Gerald Veasley's Bass BootCamp

Registration for Gerald Veasley’s 2023 Bass BootCamp is now open. The three-day event will be held August 11th through the 13th at the Courtyard Philadelphia City Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This year, Veasley and the highly talented faculty will be combining an in-person experience with distance learning.

“Your tuition will cover the BBC weekend of workshops, masterclasses, and jam sessions with two virtual camps,” Veasley shares. “Since we started Bass BootCamp in 2002 we’ve wanted to support student learning once the BBC weekend is over. With the addition of two virtual camps you’ll delve deeper into the material covered in-person. Presented by our experienced faculty on Zoom, you’ll get deeper into the topics in the comfort of your home. Our main goal is to keep the inspiration and information flowing throughout the year!”

The instructors this year will include bassists Joe Aranda, Freekbass, Chico Huff, Ryan Madora, Patrick Pfeiffer, Rob Smith, and Al Turner as well as saxophonist Chris Farr and drummer Richard Waller, III. Over three days, they’ll provide masterclasses, lessons, and concerts.

The Philadelphia Bass Gear Expo will also return to coincide with the bass camp. Vendors will be on hand on August 12th to display the latest in bass gear.

Registration is open now with an early bird price of $649, which will go up as the event draws nearer. Check out the Bass BootCamp website for more info.
