Infected Rain has announced some lineup changes this year by stating that guitarist Sergey Babich and bassist Vladimir Babich have left their ranks. With the exit of two members, they also revealed a new member: bassist Alice Lane.

The Moldovan nu-metal band shared the news via Instagram.

“Dear fans and supporters, We have some news to share with you today. Unfortunately, it happened that Serghei and Vladimir had to leave the band,” they wrote. “We want to thank them for their contributions and wish them all the best in their future endeavors. However, we see this as a new beginning for our band, and we are more excited than ever to continue making music. We’re thrilled to introduce [Alice Lane], who will be taking over as our bass player for the time being. To celebrate this new chapter in our band’s journey, we have decided to release a brand new single today! We couldn’t wait to share this new music with you and show you what we’ve been working on. Thank you for your continued support.”

Lane is Italian and also a member of Hand of Juno. She shared her excitement on joining Infected Rain stating, “I’m over the moon to start this new chapter with my amazing bandmates!”

She’s already in lockstep with the band. Check out the video for “Dying Light”:

I am really liking the potential of the band Hand of Juno that bassist Alice Lane and drummer Elisa Helly Montin (both formerly in Killin’ Baudelaire) formed with Melissa Bruschi, so I hope that cool project continues on.
