Phil Jones Bass Announces Roadcase BG-800 Bass Combo Amp
Phil Jones Bass has relaunched the Roadcase, which they call the most powerful bass combo amp in their product lineup. The PJB BG-800 features twelve 5-inch drivers housed in an enclosure complete with a built-in handle and wheels.
“Boasting an internal power rating of 600 Watts, the Roadcase increases to an earthshaking 950 Watts with the addition of an 8-ohm extension cabinet,” the company writes. “Despite its size, the 12 “Neo Power” speakers have the finesse to cope with all styles of playing, while its tiny footprint allows for more space on cramped stages without sacrificing tone or volume.”
The BG-800 has a single channel input with switch for toggling between mute, active basses, and passive basses. Its control set includes a five-band EQ, a mute switch, an effects loop with blend control, and an aux input with its own volume control. It also has an XLR balanced line out with ground lift switch, plus line in and line out to allow other BG-800s to be slaved to a master BG-800.
The PJB BG-800 will be shipping soon with a price point of $2,599.
