Dynamo Amplification Unveils GT Bass All-Tube Head
Dynamo Amplification has made a name for itself by building high-power and high-gain guitar amplifiers. Now they’re getting into the low end with the first model in a new line of bass amplifiers.
Hand-built in Texas, the GT Bass is a 300-watt, all-tube head that utilizes four KT-150 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. Dynamo crafts it with Mundorf and Takman Audiophile grade components, Toroidal transformers, and Mil-Spec control pots.
“Like the 200w Dynamo GTS Guitar amplifiers that first debuted at the 2011 NAMM show, the GT BASS carries over DNA in its design for power and clarity but is driven by an F-2b/1x style tube pre-amp with a classic TMB circuit after listening to input from a variety of Bass Players to build the ultimate Bass rig,” they write.
The GT Bass has Depth and Presence controls before a three-band EQ. It also has Hi-cut and Bright switches for general shaping.
Dynamo has also unveiled a companion cabinet for the head.
“The GT BASS is being premiered with a High powered 2×12 speaker cab built around a dual internal passive 12” Bass radiator that increases the output by 6dB and utilizes a pair of 600w FaitalPro 12” Neodymium drivers and tweeter for a rating of 1200w,” they share.

The Dynamo GT Bass amp and GT Bass 212 will be available soon with price points of $2,799 and $1,299, respectively.
