Tal Wilkenfeld to Join Allman Betts Family Revival Tour
The Allman Family Revival tour is back for 2023 with some very special guests. The traveling show features two sets paying homage to the Dickey Betts and the late Gregg Allman. Each show’s roster will include Anders Osborne, Luther Dickinson, and Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars, Jimmy Hall, Jackie Greene, Larry McCray, Alex Orbison, Ally Venable, Devon Allman, Duane Betts, and the Allman Betts Band.
Although the Allman Betts Band is usually anchored by Berry Duane Oakley (son of Allman Brothers Band bassist Berry Oakley), the group will be anchored by Tal Wilkenfeld for this outing. It marks another notch in the talented bassist’s belt, who is known for her work with artists like Jeff Beck and most recently filled in for Ben Kenney of Incubus.
The tour kicks off on November 25th at The Factory in Saint Louis, Missouri, and will cover 16 cities before wrapping up with a performance for Austin City Limits in Austin, Texas, on December 17.
