Dethklok Returns with New Album, Movie, And Tour
After a decade of dormancy, Dethklok has returned an album of all new songs and a full-length feature film. Dethalbum IV and Metalocalypse: Army of the Doom Star are out now, and as such, the animated death metal overlords are taking the metal to the masses.
Dethklok will be on tour starting August 30th in a co-bill with Japan’s Babymetal (featuring bassist Bohte “Boh” Saisuke). The “Babyklok” tour will run through October with stops across the U.S. plus two shows in Canada.
While the character William Murderface is the official member of Dethklok, the series creator Brendan Small handles all of the bass on Dethalbum IV. (Be sure to keep an eye out for Stephen “Thundercat” Bruner as a guest appearance in Army of the Doom Star). The live version of Dethklok continues to be anchored by bass hero Bryan Beller, but the upcoming run will also have Pete Griffin on select dates.
