Gibson Introduces Vintage Thunderbird Bass Pickup Reissue
Gibson has launched a bevy of pickups in the Gibson Pickup Shop Collection, and among the 22 offerings is one bass model. The Thunderbird Bass Reissue houses a period-correct T-Bird pickup under a chrome cover.
“The Thunderbird Reissue pickup uses Alnico magnets for pure vintage tone, is built to original 1960s T-Bird vintage specifications, and brings back the thick, beefy tone of the legendary originals,” Gibson shares. “Like the originals from the 60s, the Thunderbird Reissue pickups are humbucking. They are equipped with chrome covers, 2-conductor wiring, and are wax potted to reduce unwanted noise.”
The Thunderbird Reissue is available now from the Gibson Pickup Shop for $129.
