Guild Announces Limited Starfire Bass II in Black

Guild` Guitars Starfire Bass II

Guild has reintroduced the Starfire Bass II in a bold Black finish for a limited run alongside the Starfire III Black and M-75 Aristocrat Black guitars. Originally introduced in 1967, the Starfire Bass II is fitted with a pair of Guild BS-1 BiSonic pickups.

“Wound to 6.4K Ohms, similar in specification to a [Fred Hammon] Darkstar, the Guild BS-1 utilizes Alnico 2 magnets and provides a refined modern tone in a classic package,” the company writes.

The bass is built with a mahogany body and neck and an ebony fingerboard adorned with Pearloid dot inlays. Like the original models, the Starfire Bass II Black has a short 30.75-inch scale length.

Other features include Grover Sta-tite tuners, a Guild adjustable bridge, and a hardshell case.

The Guild Starfire Bass II Black is a limited edition and carries a street price of $1,499.
