La Bella Unveils Bubby Lewis Limited White Nylon Tape Wound Strings
La Bella has teamed up with bass wizard Bubby Lewis to release a signature set of strings. The Bubby Lewis Limited White Nylon Tape Wound Strings come in four-, five-, or six-string sets and are notable for their unique white and blue patterns.
“We’ve meticulously wrapped colored silk by hand over the silver-plated wire underlays to create the pattern seen underneath the clear nylon,” the company writes. “These strings are a testament to being a real string maker, as this process is not replicable by automated string machines. These strings are made with a “free-hand” technique and are true artisan-grade bass strings!”
La Bella says the strings offer a warm and deep low end while having an incredibly smooth feel due to the nylon wrap. The La Bella Bubby Lewis Limited White Nylon Tape Wound Strings are available now at prices between $50 and $60 per set.
