Level 42: Lovegames/Bass Solo (2023)
When I was 14, my dad gave me a long list of bass players to listen and learn from. Mark King was one of the first names on the list. Needless to say, he’s been at the top of my list as well.
Still as funky as ever, King gives us an incredibly melodic slap solo on the classic tune “Love Games!” We also got a very tasty keyboard solo too! What’s your favorite Mark King bass line? Let us know in the comments!
