Rob Zombie Announces Lineup Change for Solo Band
There’s been a shakeup in Rob Zombie’s band. On January 30th, bassist Piggy D announced that he had departed the group.
“Dear Friends, my time with Zombie has come to an end. It was an honor to entertain you for the last 18 years,” he wrote. “I look forward to the future and wish everyone the best. Peace & Love, Matt Montgomery aka Count D., Piggy D., Giggles”
He had been in the band since 2006 and has been on all the subsequent studio and live albums.
Later that day, Zombie revealed that the role had already been filled. Rob “Blasko” Nicholson, the band’s original bassist from 1997 to 2006, is back in the fold. The frontman also made his announcement on Instagram saying, “After 18 years I am thrilled to announce that BLASKO has returned! The original 4-string Zombie monster is back. Get ready for a crazy summer of mayhem.”
Blasko is also noted for his time in Danzig, Zakk Sabbath, and a longtime association with Ozzy Osbourne. He’ll be on the road with Rob Zombie in a newly announced “Freaks on Parade Tour,” which they will co-headline with shock rock pioneer Alice Cooper.

I’m smiling so big! I think my face is blushing! I know my heart is starting to pound after reading this! Fucking A Man! Let’s get it on America…USA!
I totally think it’s a total dope fiend move that you actually come back on tour again the following year with the same bands doing the same music calling it the same show besides the date really I mean that just shows how much that you are really going down you know you’re not going to be around much longer you know you had to build up your retirement fund you know Alice Cooper needed to build up so he can afford the wheelchairs or whatever but it’s just totally lame totally capital LAME I just paid good money to sit front row last year and watch this show that you’re going to redo again year
