Donny Benét Releases Retrofied “Infinite Desires”

Donny Benét: Infinite DesiresDonny Benét has released his sixth album, Infinite Desires, which marks the first on his own label, Donnyland Records. The album continues his celebration of retro pop, funk, and disco with synthesizers, drum machines, and some deep bass lines. Benét performs all of the instruments on the record besides the saxophone.

“Leaning on my favorite influences, whilst applying a timely spin on the context,” Benét told Billboard. “I feel that I’ve given my listeners more of ‘me’ this time around.”

Schtick or not, the music certainly makes you want to bob your head.

Check out the music video for “Multiply,” which has a bass line reminiscent of the late Louis Johnson.

Infinite Desires is available now on vinyl or as a digital download (Bandcamp, iTunes, and Amazon MP3).
