Sting Announces New Power Trio For “Sting 3.0” Tour
Sting made his name as the bassist and vocalist for a power trio called The Police, and now he’s getting back to the format. He’s announced a new tour called “STING 3.0” featuring a new trio with longtime guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas of Mumford & Sons fame.
“The ‘STING 3.0’ Tour represents a new dynamic era showcasing selections from his vast catalog through the urgent lens of a tight three-piece combo,” his website explains.
The tour is slated to begin on September 17th, with two nights at the Fillmore in Detroit, Michigan. He’ll then hit major cities scattered across the U.S. with a stop in Toronto, Ontario as well.
