Bass of the Week: Sandman Dream Guitars Trident

Sandman Dream Guitars recently shared a custom build for a customer that looks downright mythical. Dubbed “Trident,” the five-string bass has an incredible book-matched hybrid wood and resin top made by Tobias Caspar with watery colors and a scale-like design that brings Poseidon to mind. The headstock face and control covers match the top.
Sandman built the Trident with a multi-scale neck of Richlite, flame maple, padauk, and wenge, while its body wings are white ash. For electronics, the Trident has an MJS stacked double/single coil custom wound pickup that is complemented with a Nordstrand 3-band preamp.
Aside from all the features, Sandman adds, “Blood, Sweat, Tears, and mojo preinstalled and ready to take on the world!”
