Boss Unveils the ME-90B Bass Multiple Effects Unit
Boss has added a new floor unit for bassists called the ME-90B Bass Multiple Effects. They call it a “free-flowing processor filled with pro performance tools for bassists.” It has 61 effects optimized for bass and 10 preamps to choose from.
“The ME-90B’s Preamp/EQ section features ten AIRD preamp types, complete with gain and EQ knobs for rapid sound adjustment,” they share. “Included are BOSS originals like Natural and Drive Bass, along with authentic models of classic bass amplifiers from vintage to modern. There’s also an Acoustic type optimized for acoustic-electric and upright bass pickups, plus an EQ-only option for clean DI tones.”
Its wide selection of effects is accessed via eight footswitches and an expression pedal with an integrated toe switch. The onboard effects are then tweaked with independent parameter knobs. The ME-90B has a memory mode to choose from 36 setups.
For connectivity, Boss fits the unit with 1/4-inch mono or stereo operation outputs, an XLR output for the DI, a USB out for recording, and a headphone jack.
