Cosmodio Launches with the Pet Yeti Distortion/Fuzz Pedal

Cosmodio Instruments is a new pedal and electronic instrument manufacturer that just launched its first product: the Pet Yeti distortion/fuzz pedal. The all-analog device can produce a wide variety of distortion sounds, which Cosmodio says range from “refined to extreme and even bizarre.”
The Pet Yeti works well for guitar, bass, and other instruments, with the manufacturer pointing out that its clean blend helps retain the low end and transients critical to bass. It has an original circuit design with cascading gain stages, selectable clipping configurations (symmetrical, asymmetrical, silicon, germanium, and op-amp), and even an analog bit crusher. In addition to its Clean knob, its control set includes Gain, Output, Shape (for setting the pre-distortion low-end), and Tone.
There are three toggle switches: Voice selects between three clipping configurations, Bit activates the bit crusher, and Strength controls the first gain stage. Other features include true bypass switching and 9-volt operation via an external power supply.
The Cosmodio Instruments Pet Yeti is built in the USA and carries a street price of $219.
