Violent Femmes To Play First Two Albums In Full on Tour

Violent Femmes will be heading out on the road this fall to perform their first two albums (1983’s Violent Femmes and 1984’s Hallowed Ground) in full. Anchored by the enormous acoustic bass guitar of Brian Ritchie, the band will tear through songs like “Blister in the Sun,” “Add It Up,” and “Never Tell,” which the bassist named as his favorite song to play live.
The two-album performances will be blended into their current itinerary. The shows begin on June 20th at Interlochen, Michigan, and will head to the Pacific Northwest before skipping back to the East Coast and heading south. Their current final date is slated for October 9th in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
