Bass of the Week: Bacci Guitars Amitra Michael League Signature

Bacci Guitars Amitra Michael League Signature Bass

This week we’re checking out the Amitra Woodworm Michael League Signature bass by Bacci Guitars. The Italian-made instrument is crafted with an alder body that’s been affected by wood-boring insects.

“Woodworms are the secret to the Amrita’s airy sound – these insect larvae bore into the beautiful alder body, transforming the holes into tiny tonal chambers,” Bacci writes. “The Nitrocellulose finish on both the body and neck is like a second skin, allowing the wood to vibrate to its fullest potential. The result is a truly natural look that evokes a sense of timelessness.”

Watch this incredible video on the bass’s creation with luthier Bruno Bacci and Michael League.
