Tiny Tone Announces the Bartolini TCT Stompbox Pedal

Tiny Tone Bartolini TCT Stompbox Pedal

Tiny Tone has teamed up with Bartolini to introduce the TCT Stompbox, which puts Bartolini’s legendary on-board bass preamp from the ’80s into a pedal format. Each unit features a genuine Bartolini TCT preamp and a MCT-375 mid module.

“We took this iconic preamp along with it’s MCT375 EQ module, and ported it into a guitar pedal enclosure to create a versatile stompbox which can be taken anywhere and used with any bass!” Tiny Tone writes. “We wire each and every one by hand, to order- this is not mass-produced- each unit is handmade at our Manchester workshop using freshly-harvested TCT/MCT modules direct from Bartolini along with the finest electronic components we can source.”

The pedal’s controls include a three-band EQ with Bass, Middle, and Treble controls. Tiny Tone notes that the mid frequencies on the preamp are traditionally set via an internal trimpot, but they put an easily accessible mid knob for on-the-fly adjustments. Other features include true-bypass switching and a 15dB of gain boost by way of a second footswitch.

The original TCT was introduced in 1983 and is widely known for its use by Marcus Miller, who used it to fuel the groove on countless recordings.
