“Ron Carter: The Smithsonian Interview” Book Now Available

Ron Carter is an incredible man with an incredible career, so it’s no wonder he has such profound insights into music and humanity. He’s been the subject of many books, including a new one he just released. The maestro has published Ron Carter: The Smithsonian Interview.
“It is deeply important to me to share the lessons and experiences I’ve garnered over my 87 years of life… For this reason, I am pleased to announce a new addition to my #DedicationToEducation Ron Carter Library: the Ron Carter Smithsonian Interview book,” he shared on Facebook. “This book is the compiled transcript of my exclusive interview with Devra Hall, presented alongside never-before-seen photographs, a historical timeline, and QR codes for bonus content… Resulting in more than 100 pages of content.”
The interview was conducted in 2011 for the Smithsonian Oral History Project. Carter’s new book presents the full transcript with annotations. QR codes lead to music and video examples and a timeline that provides context for the clips.
