G&L Adds ASAT Bass to Fullerton Deluxe Series

G&L Fullerton Deluxe Series ASAT Basses

G&L has added a new member to their Fullerton Deluxe family with the ASAT Bass. The new model puts the design, originally introduced in the late ’80s, into their USA-made deluxe series.

Leo Fender created the bass nearly forty years ago by combining his ASAT body shape with the versatility of the G&L L-2000 bass.

“At its core, the ASAT Bass is all about versatility,” the company states. “A pair of G&L Magnetic Field Design humbuckers deliver a huge tonal palette, controlled by Leo Fender’s Tri-Tone system. With toggles for pickup selection, series/parallel routing, and active/passive operation, plus knobs for volume, treble, and bass, ASAT Bass adapts effortlessly to any style—be it soulful R&B, aggressive rock, or funky grooves.”

The Fullerton Deluxe ASAT bass comes in three versions. First is a swamp ash body in Butterscotch Blonde with a maple fingerboard. Next up is an alder body in Jet Black with a rosewood fingerboard, and finally is an alder body in Alpine White Frost with a rosewood fingerboard. Each style has a Saddle-lock bridge, a C-shaped neck with a 9.5-inch radius, and 21 medium-jumbo Jescar frets.

The G&L Fullerton Deluxe ASAT bass is available now, with prices ranging from $1,699 to $1,999.
