Prime M1: How Mooer Expanded Compact Pedal Design with Bass-Friendly Features

As technology gets better and better, players have been moving more towards multi-effects units and modeling software. Mooer entered the market with their Prime S1 in March, and now they’ve followed it up with the Prime M1 multi-effects pedal.
The compact unit improves on its predecessor’s guitar functionality and – more importantly for us – adds many features for bassists. It has 149 effect models across 10 banks, each with four patches.
“These include amp and cabinet simulations and overdrives, along with dynamic, modulation, delay, reverb, and EQ effects, as well as empty user slots,” Mooer writes. “Most notably, though, 20 of the amp and cabinet simulations have been curated specifically for bass guitarists, showing MOOER’s dedication to providing support for this additional audience.”
The Prime M1 is supported by the Mooer Cloud and Mooer Prime app for saving and loading third-party IR files and more. Other features include a built-in drum machine, an 80-second looper, a headphone output, and an integrated rechargeable lithium battery.
The Mooer Prime M1 is available for $105.
