S.I.T. Strings and Mohini Dey Collaborate on New Signature Bass Strings

S.I.T. Strings has announced a new set of signature strings for Indian bass virtuoso Mohini Dey. The collaboration created a set of strings that Dey calls “an extension of my voice.” One aspect of her musical voice is her genre-bending versatility, which was a factor in the set’s creation.
“These strings feature SIT Strings’ Fusion Wound technology, offering unparalleled tonal balance and sustain,” the company writes. “Designed for versatility, the strings respond with precision to both intricate melodies and deep grooves. This innovative process combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced materials for exceptional brightness, warmth, and great feel.”
The S.I.T. Strings Mohini Dey Signature Bass String Set is manufactured in Akron, Ohio. It comes in a five-string set with a nickel wrap and gauges ranging from .045 to .125. They’re available now, direct, for $32.99.
