Fodera’s Monarch Power P Bass Gets a “Shocking” New Look in the Standard Series

Fodera Monarch Power P Bass

Fodera has expanded their Standard lineup of instruments to include the Monarch 4 Standard Power P. The bass is described as a workhorse for people looking for a classic P vibe with its own unique style. Its body and headstock got a shocking treatment for an even more individualistic look.

“The front of both the body and headstock both had 1000v of electricity run through them, giving each individual instrument its own burn pattern along the grain lines as unique as a fingerprint,” Fodera writes. “The Power P gives you the feel of a traditional P-styled bass, but with a modern dose of power and tonal flexibility with its P/ Dual Coil combination.”

The Power P has a solid alder body, a three-piece maple neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. Fodera gave the bass a more vintage feel in the neck by carving it with a slightly thicker profile.

Its pickups include a Seymour Duncan Antiquity P with a Fodera/Duncan Dual Coil in the bridge position. The dual coil has a special pickup spacing so that when the coil tap is engaged, the pickups function as a P/J in a 60s position. Under the hood, they fitted the bass with the new Fodera x Trickfish Standard Series 3-band preamp.

The Fodera Monarch 4 Standard Power P is open for pre-order at $5,550.
